What is it like to work at Peachtree VA?
Peachtree VA is a remote, flexible way to use professional skills. We provide the clients. You provide the skills. Our virtual assistants and bookkeepers are 1099 contractors based in the continental United States.
We offer intentional client matching, a say in your own capacity, a 100% virtual role, and ongoing support from our Relationship Specialists.
Which roles are open?
| Role | Type | Summary |
|---|---|---|
| Virtual Assistant | Remote, 1099 | Day-to-day administrative, operational and project coordination support for business owners. Apply to be a VA |
| Bookkeeper | Part-time, remote, 1099 | Accurate financial records, reconciliations and reporting for small business clients. Apply to be a bookkeeper |
What do VAs do?
This is not data entry or project-based work. The role takes critical thinking, problem-solving and the ability to anticipate client needs. A day might include coordinating executive calendars, managing client inboxes, or creating and updating standard operating procedures. You may also support digital marketing, draft newsletters, coordinate projects or arrange travel.
What do bookkeepers do?
Tasks vary by client. You may handle transaction entry and categorization, accounts receivable and accounts payable, month-end reconciliation and report preparation. Bookkeepers work between 5 and 80 hours a month per client. You must be available for at least one Zoom meeting per client per month to review the books.
How is the pay set?
VAs earn $22 to $24 per hour based on experience, and your rate is locked in at hire. Bookkeepers earn $25 per hour. You are paid hourly for time worked, not on retainer. Clients buy monthly packages with a fixed number of hours, so your work is steady.
What does Peachtree VA look for?
We look for people who show up with energy, excellence and empathy. For VAs, that means:
- Three or more years of administrative, operational or project coordination experience.
- At least one year of remote work experience.
- Clear communication and a polished, friendly presence.
- Attention to detail, discretion and sound judgment.
- A comfort with new technology.
For bookkeepers, that means at least two years of bookkeeping experience and hands-on QuickBooks skills. You also need three references from current or previous bookkeeping clients.
Is this work right for you?
Flexible, part-time, remote work suits many people. Maybe you are an empty nester who wants to stay busy from home, or a military spouse who needs a job that can move with you. You might be a skilled contractor tired of sourcing your own clients, or a busy parent who wants work-life balance.
Dora Jiling, an Executive Assistant on our team, joined as a military spouse who needed flexibility and stable work.

Where do I need to live to work for Peachtree VA?
You must live in the continental United States year-round. The work is fully remote, so you can work from anywhere in that area, as long as you can respond to clients during standard business hours. International applicants are automatically disqualified.
How many hours do VAs work?
Most VAs work between 15 and 25 hours a week supporting two clients. Client packages start at 25 hours a month, so weekly hours can range from 10 to 40 depending on how many clients you take. How quickly will I be matched with my first client?
We match on skill set, personality fit and availability. Some new team members are matched during their first week, while others wait a few weeks. Most VAs and bookkeepers are matched within their first month.
